ATTENDEE AGREEMENT WAIVER FORM: 

I expressly agree that I have been asked by organizers to participate in the 2024 MBE Connect Summit via my email address. I agree that organizers have the right to deny my registration at their sole discretion. 

I expressly agree that, as a registered participant attending the event, its panels, matchmaking events, networking events, breakfasts and lunches, and all other activities related to the 2024 MBE Connect Summit (“MCS”), I assume any and all risks associated with traveling to and from, participating in, and/or attending the 2024 MBE Connect Summit.

I expressly agree that organizers of the 2024 MBE Connect Summit, its organizers, sponsors, members, managers, officers, employees, independent contractors, agents, representatives, and assigns shall not be liable or responsible for any injury to me or others, or any damage to or loss of my property or that of others, including any personal devices. I release, acquit, discharge, and agree to hold harmless  2024 MBE Connect Summit, its organizers, sponsors, members, managers, officers, employees, independent contractors, agents, representatives, and assigns against any claim, loss, liability, bodily injury, infection, illness, death, damage, or expense to myself or my property, or others or their property, which I may, directly or indirectly, sustain or suffer as a result of participation in and/or attendance at MCS, including, but not limited to, any and all liability caused by or contributed to by the negligence and/or gross negligence of MCS, its organizers, members, managers, officers, employees, independent contractors, agents, representatives, and assigns, or MCS participants or attendees.

We are committed to protecting your privacy and personal information. In accordance with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), we do not sell your personal information to third parties. Any data collected from you is solely used for the purposes outlined in our privacy policy. INDEMNIFICATION:
In addition, in consideration for their permission granted to participate in any and all MCS activities, I agree to INDEMNIFY, HOLD HARMLESS, AND PROMISE NOT TO SUE the persons and entities named above for all claims, demands, causes of action and legal liability (including, without limitation, any economic and/or non-economic losses), whether known or unknown, anticipated or unanticipated, for bodily injury, infection, illness, death, property damage, and/or property theft, arising from or relating to participation in any and all MCS events. This waiver and release for liability shall be construed broadly to provide a release and waiver to the maximum extent permissible under applicable law.

ELECTRONIC REGISTRATION AND COMMUNICATION:
I understand that each registration is valid for one participant or attendee only at MCS, for only the days selected during my registration. I understand that the event, its dates, panels, matchmaking events, networking events, speakers, and invited guests are subject to change before and during MCS due to illness, technical issues, or other unanticipated factors.  I will not hold the 2024 MBE Connect Summit, its organizers, sponsors, members, managers, officers, employees, independent contractors, agents, representatives, or assigns liable, nor be due any type of reimbursement in the event of rescheduling or canceling of the event, its panels, matchmaking events, networking events and/or sessions at MCS.

I agree that my contact information will be used to deliver requested updates or to access your subscriber preferences.

I understand that using mbeconnectsummit.com on my laptop, tablet, or phone may be adversely impacted at any time by wireless availability, internet speed, simultaneous Internet use at my location, software settings, and other factors. I will not hold the 2024 Connect Summit, its organizers, sponsors, members, managers, officers, employees, independent contractors, agents, representatives, or assigns liable, nor be due any reimbursements in the event of technology difficulties or errors on my part.

I understand that Morepark Productions is only the administrator of the registration portal and event logistics. All collected information is being utilized by PACE Los Angeles, Pacific Asian Consortium in Employment, to administer matchmaking interviews. Only invited guests of PACE are allowed to register. Registrants not on a pre-approved email list will be removed from the database immediately. 

VENUE AND CAPACITY:
I agree to abide by the SoCalGas Energy Resource Center’s code of conduct and to abide by MCS signage and/or regulations about room capacity limits and opening and closing times.

LIKENESS RELEASE:
I understand that the 2024 Connect Summit, its organizers, sponsors, members, managers, officers, employees, independent contractors, agents, representatives, and assigns may use photographs, audio, or videos of participants for promotional purposes.  As a registered attendee, I release and discharge  2024 Connect Summit, its organizers, sponsors, members, managers, officers, employees, independent contractors, agents, representatives, and assigns acting on their behalf from any and all claims and demands arising out of or in connection with the use of the photographs, audio, or videos.  I irrevocably grant unlimited permission to  2024 Connect Summit, its organizers, sponsors, members, managers, officers, employees, independent contractors, agents, representatives, and assigns to use said photographs, audio, or videos for any promotional purpose in perpetuity and I understand that I shall not be entitled to any compensation therefor.

PRIVACY POLICY:
I agree to abide by the Privacy Policy of the Pacific Asian Consortium of Employment, the lead organizer of the 2024 MBE Connect Summit, which can be read online and/or printed at https://pacela.org/privacy-policy

GOVERNING LAWS:
This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California without giving effect to any choice or conflict of law provision or rule. I irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the federal and state courts located in the State of California in any legal suit, action, or proceeding arising out of or based upon this agreement or my participation in the MCS.

CHANGES TO TERMS:
We reserve the right, at any time, to modify, alter, or update these Terms of Use without prior notice. You are encouraged to check this page regularly for changes to the Terms of Use. Modifications will become effective immediately upon being posted to this website without further notice to you. Your continued use of any of our Digital Services after such modifications are posted constitutes your acknowledgment and acceptance of such modifications, and you may not amend these Terms of Use.

I CERTIFY THAT I HAVE READ THIS LIABILITY RELEASE, AND I FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS CONTENT. I AM AWARE THAT THIS IS A RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND A CONTRACT AND AM ELECTRONICALLY SELECTING THE DESIGNATED CHECK BOX ON THE REGISTRATION PAGE AND CLICKING THE REGISTER BUTTON FREELY AND VOLUNTARILY.
